Volunteer

Group Volunteering

Requirements

  • Must have 6 or more people to be considered a group.

  • Can take groups as large as 40 people.

  • If a group needs specific start and end times, we can be flexible.

Shift Options

  • Days: Monday–Friday

  • AM shift: 8 am–noon

  • PM shift: noon–4 pm

  • Can do one shift or both.

Onsite & Off-site Work Options

  • Programming assistance (groups smaller than 20) – assist instructors in classrooms.

  • Garden Center assistance – work outside or in the greenhouse (trimming basil and tomatoes, weeding, planting).

  • Campus Maintenance – painting, general maintenance, cleaning, electrical work.

  • Cookout for the residents – groups provide the food, and CFL has the grills.

  • Encouragement or holiday cards – residents love receiving them!

  • Clothing or hygiene item drive – may need approval from Shilah.

Individual Volunteering

  • Volunteers must be at least 15 years of age.

  • AM shift: 8 am–noon

  • PM shift: noon–4 pm

  • Garden Center assistance – work outside or in the greenhouse (trimming basil and tomatoes, weeding, planting).

  • Gala volunteer help– event set-up the Friday before or event execution the evening of (requires iPad knowledge).

  • Encouragement or holiday cards – residents love receiving them!

  • Clothing or hygiene item drive – may need approval from Shilah.
